TallyHouse is built on a simple idea: your financial life is yours. That principle shapes both the app and this website.
The short version: The TallyHouse app stores your financial data locally on your own device — never in our cloud. This website collects only the email address you choose to give us for the beta waitlist. No trackers, no analytics, no cookies, no third-party sharing.
The app
TallyHouse is a local-first desktop application. Your accounts, transactions, investments, property, and documents live in a single encrypted file on your own machine. There is no TallyHouse account, no sign-in, and no bank linking. We never receive, see, or store any of your financial data — it never leaves your device unless you choose to move it yourself.
This website
The only personal data this site collects is the email address you submit to join the beta waitlist. When you submit the form:
- What we store: your email address, the date and time you signed up, and a label noting the signup came from this page.
- What we don't store: your IP address, location, device details, or any behavioural tracking. We do not use analytics, advertising pixels, cookies, or fingerprinting.
- Where it's stored: in a database hosted on Cloudflare, our infrastructure provider. It is not shared with, sold to, or processed by any other third party.
- Why: solely so we can email you about the TallyHouse beta. We will not send you unrelated marketing or pass your address to anyone.
The signup form includes a hidden anti-spam field; if it's filled in (as bots do), the submission is silently ignored and nothing is stored.
Your choices
You can ask us to remove your email from the waitlist at any time, or ask what we hold about you. Just email david@tallyhouseapp.com and we'll take care of it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above. Because we collect so little, we don't expect meaningful changes before launch.
